Model Comment:
"Reference to Model 1324 was added by CvdL because at a scale of 1/32 its overall length would match the 98ft overall length of this schooner. The model was apparently mentioned by NGH on November 5, 1925 in his diary when he wrote "Begin measuring off 68' w.l. sch[ooner] model, to be ready if Nat[hanael] Ayer decides to build." November 5, 1925 is also the date of the first page of offset booklet HH.4.208 which begins with "68' w.l. Schooner yacht. Overall 98'. ..." (Source: van der Linde, Claas. March 14, 2022.)

Draft 12' 9 1/2". Frame spaces (if laid down with scale 11 1/2" = one foot 23/24 size of measurements. Waterline w[ou]ld be 65' 2" and frame spaces 19 1/6". If with 11 1/4 scale waterline w[ou]ld be 64' 5 1/2" and frame spaces 18 3/4").
If built of steel deduct 1/4" for plating and if composit construction deduct 2 1/4" for planking.
