"Newly identified model. Comparing with model 1104 this can only be the second preliminary model for this 65ft LWL sloop yacht. This model is described and measured in NGH design booklet, dated Oct. 3rd 1886, #2 - Preliminary model for 65ft LWL Sloop Yacht, Length O.D. 75ft [sp???] 10in, LWL 65'. Beam, - deck 16ft 5in. Depth 10ft 9in. Scale 3/8in to the foot. Length and time made strongly suggest this to be an America's Cup Contender." (Source: van der Linde, Claas. September 16, 2014.)
