Comment:
"It is not known when this model was made, who made it, and from what sources its dimensions were derived from. Note that at a scale of 1/96 this model would suggest an LOA of ca. 107' while Cambria's real LOA was 112' 11 1/2" (her LWL was 89' 7"). The reason for this is apparently that this model does not show Cambria's stemhead which would have added several feet to her length. For more information on Cambria's lines and dimensions see Chevalier, Francois and Jacques Taglang, 1851 America's Cup Yacht Designs 1986, Paris, 1987, p. 73; Kemp, Dixon, Yacht Architecture, 1885; and Thompson, Winfield M. and Thomas W. Lawson, The Lawson History of the America's Cup, Boston, 1902." (Source: van der Linde, Claas. 2008.)

"Note: English Challenger for the 1870 America's Cup. See Sequence #1512." (Source: Curator Herreshoff Marine Museum, 2004.)
