"For sale January 2010." (Source: WoodenBoat January/February 2019, No. 212, p. 132.)

"As per a note in the HMCo Construction Record the order to build the entire #1197 class (of which this boat was the 3rd) was 'issued 4/24/31' and we may assume that all boats were completed by the summer of 1931. The contract for this boat was dated '8th day of February 1932' and delivery was agreed to be 'on or about June 1, 1932' as per the Construction Record and confirmed by the original contract in the collection of the Herreshoff Marine Museum. This boat was thus built on speculation and was delivered almost a year after it had been built." (Source: van der Linde, Claas. January 8, 2015.)
