This boat was owned by the Saltonstall family for years. Kitty Saltonstall Hok of Marion was the last Saltonstall owner. Dr. Shohet bought it as a wreck from Dan Briggs in 1984, and has done substantial rebuilding. Dr. Shohet lives in San Francisco and Buzzards Bay, and sails it hard every summer. 2016.11.29: VIREO has her original rig and still carries sail no. H-4.
