2015.08.17: "Dolcefariente is currently out of the water for new deck, clamp, sheer strake, frames, ballast keel repair, transom, strongback, sternpost, and plank keel. This is her second rebuild to class print by current owner, which is 95% complete. Dolcefariente is the open cockpit with watertight forward bulkhead model. She has all new spars by Mt. Hope Boatworks. She has mostly original pattern hardware and rigging and retains her original builders plate. Dolcefariente will be again sailing on the York River this fall." (source: submitted online) previous notes: She was sailed from New Bedford to Virginia by 2 Coast Guardsmen in 1952.
