"Possibly newly identified model. This appears to be a preliminary model for #407s Bird. Compare with model 221 and see NGH design booklet entry dated March 23, 1890 'Weighing of model for racing boat. 16ft w.l., 21ft overall, 7ft 6in beam, 22in depth, 8 3/4 draft to rabbet, scale 1/12th, [calculated] Disp[lacement] 1360lbs. ...'
