"Dimensions: LOA 25.5" x LWL 25.5" x B 5.125" (overall, incl. backing board 13 1/ 2x 33 1/4 x 6). Old number: [1]. Provenance: Found in Collection; possibly Love Rocks. Model identification:
"Might this be a model from around 1880 to 1882 when NGH moved away from solely inside-ballasted centerboard boats and began to experiment with deep keels with outside lead? This model looks like a deeper keel has been added to at a later time. Compare with Model 28 Shadow's Improvement from 'about 1880' [which might also have been made a year or two later?]. The model's dimensions, scaled at 1:16, suggest a vessel of very similar size as #187106es Shadow." (Source: van der Linde, Claas. June 24, 2021.)
