"Labeled 'Herreshoff 23 Footer (Centerboard) 34 x 23 x 7 3/4 x 2ft 11' this model is known to have been displayed in March 1934 at the Sportsman's Show in Providence, RI as a framed exhibit titled 'Scale Models of Recent One-Design Classes By Herreshoff Mfg. Co. R.F. Haffenreffer - Pres. Bristol, R.I.'. A photo of the exhibtion in the collection of the Herreshoff Marine Museum shows it on a framed plate together with models XA2-1_06, XA2-1_08, XA2-1_09 and XA2-1_10.
