"A 'Herreshoff triple expansion steam engine, steeple type, cylinders 8 --- 12 1/4 --- 20, 11 in. stroke' was listed in the 1924 auction catalog when HMCo was auctioned off. This appears to have been the engine that was built as job 2949 in 1904 as per a note dated January 7, 1904 on pattern list 107-046 --- together with two 5 5/8" & 8" & 12 1/2" bore x 7" stroke steam engines and one 7" & 11 1/4" & 18" bore x 9" stroke engine. Only one of the two 7" stroke engines appears to have ever been sold (for use in #267p ENAJ). The other three engines are shown on a group of HMCo photos now in the collection of HMM (numbered 2018-077-001 to 2018-077-004) and believed to have been taken by Tom Brightman in 1916. All three engines were also listed in the 1924 auction catalog." (Source: van der Linde, Claas. December 27, 2021.)
