"N. G. Herreshoff contemplated this design in July 1892 as per a March 16, 1893 note in his 1880s Design Booklet where he describes Model 312 for #431 Morwena as 'originally intended for self made in July 1892'. The Halsey C. Herreshoff Collection at the Herreshoff Marine Museum contains a related sailplan titled '24ft w.l. proposed for self. Aug[ust] 1892'." (Source: van der Linde, Claas. May 5, 2021.)
