A reference at HMCo to a 46ft Cutter in April 1891 could only be a reference to #411s Gloriana. This plan was thus originally drawn for a boat for Gloriana, with other boats having been subsequently built from it." (Source: van der Linde, Claas. October 26, 2009.)
"This vessel's contract date was determined from the original plan date. Plan 28-27 (formerly 75-14) from which this boat was built was drawn 1891-04-22. #411s Gloriana (for which this vessel was built) was contracted for 1891-02-27. This boat's contract or building date is 54 days after #411s Gloriana was contracted for." (Source: van der Linde, Claas. October 26, 2009.)
